McDaniel and Hartrey Healthcare Households
In 2008, Three Crowns Park embarked on a mission to adopt a new model of care for those with age related dementia, Alzheimer's and individuals who need 24/7 nursing care. Officially called the Culture Change Model, Three Crowns Park established “households” where individuals interact as a family but also allow for privacy with 24/7 skilled nursing.
How does this work? Three Crowns Park redesigned traditional spaces to accommodate familial living areas such as the kitchen, dining room, and living room. Residents interact socially but also have the privacy of their own room furnished with their belongings.
Each household has a front door entrance and a doorbell rings to signify visitors. Although staff is present at all times, there are no visible nursing stations. Residents’ schedules are based on individual needs and wants.
